Chester Bennington has been laid to rest in a private funeral service, a US report has claimed.
The Linkin Park frontman was found dead on July 20 at his home in California.
TMZ today reported that his funeral service has now taken place, with hundreds of close friends, family and colleagues turning up to say their goodbyes to the singer, who died aged 41.
The service took place at the South Coast Botanic Garden near his home in Palos Verdes, California.
The outdoor ceremony reportedly included a stage which was set up for music tributes to Bennington.
Tight security was on hand to ensure the event stayed private, with wristbands enforced to ensure only those invited attended, it has been claimed.
Chester left behind his wife of 11 years Talinda and six children – Jamie, 21, Isaiah, 19, Draven, 15, Tyler Lee, 11, and Lily and Lila, seven.
Talinda’s released a statement last week, reading: ‘One week ago, I lost my soulmate and my children lost their hero – their Daddy. We had a fairytale life and now it has turned into some sick Shakespearean tragedy.
‘How do I move on? How do I pick up my shattered soul? The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left.
‘I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well.
‘My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive.
‘He was a bright, loving soul with an angel’s voice. And now he is pain-free singing his songs in all of our hearts.
