Spice Girls are going on world tour

The Spice Girls pose outside the Martinez Hotel in Cannes, during the 50th Cannes Film Festival, to promote their new movie ‘Spice the Movie’ which will be filmed in London in June.

We might just be getting that Spice Girls tour we’ve been after for the last 20 years.

After news of their reunion earlier this week, the five ladies have apparently signed up for a world tour kicking off later this summer – and it’ll begin in the UK!

Sources have told TMZ they’re in ‘rough planning’ stages, but there won’t be any new music sadly.

But that’s cool right? They’ve got enough hits to keep us all smiling like looneys as we crack out our best Zig a zig ah moves.

There’ll be no Vegas residency as first thought, but even so this tour is likely to be massive and apparently ‘everyone is committed.’ Even Vicky Becks.

The girls teased everyone this week with a picture of all five of them in one room, yep Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie C, despite the fact that for years they’ve been trying to all be in the same place at once.

The reunion has happened, now apparently the reunion tour is happening, and life for any 90s child is about to get really good.

Emma Bunton aka Baby Spice revealed that the girls chowed down on sushi and salad on her Heart London breakfast radio show during their rare meet up.

‘We reminisced about the old times, we were talking about the kids, it was lovely. And then we all sat around Geri’s table and we got takeaway in, got sushi and some salads and drank tea and a little bit of prosecco,’ Emma told her fellow presenter Jamie Theakston. ‘It was just so lovely to see everyone. I loved it, really good fun’.

Emma remained tight-lipped about the specific plans the band had together, but confirmed ‘there’s lots of opportunities for us, especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world’.
