Four beheaded as cultists invade communities in Rivers

No fewer than seven persons have been feared dead on Saturday as cultists struck in different parts of Rivers State.

Four persons were killed and beheaded in Omuoko, Aluu Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that the suspected cultists stormed Omuoko killed and beheaded individuals identified as Rhino, Justice Azubuike, Nwobueze Eric Woke, and one other victim.

It was learned that Azubuike, had just got admission into Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Iwofe, Port Harcourt, before the incident.

According to reports, the cultists invaded the area with heavy gunfire, shooting sporadically without interference from security operatives.

Also in Rumuekini in Obio-Akpor LGA, of the state, an electrical and generator repairer was killed at his home at the close of work.

Recall that some suspected cultists were on Sunday killed during a clash between rival cult groups in Abraham Adesanya area in Ajah, Lagos State.

It was gathered that the fight took place on the main road of the area, leaving many heads scattered all over the road.

Reacting, the Police in Lagos have arrested two suspects in connection with the cult clash that happened in Ajah area of Lagos on Sunday.

The police spokesman in the state, Bala Elkana, on Monday, said on 14th April 2019 at about 8.45am, Ogombo Police Station received a distress call that rival cult groups had a clash of supremacy along Abraham Adesanya, Lekki-Epe Expressway and that four members of Eiye cult gang were killed by Aye members.
