A man was apprehended while attempting to bomb the Living Faith Church, otherwise known as Winners Chapel in Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.  The suspected bomber was caught with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).  The suspect was said to be monitored on a CCTV camera while carrying a bag containing explosives into the church auditorium.

A source said the suspect successfully gained access and was seated before he was noticed.

“The suspect had been handed over to the police and moved to the Sabon Tasha Division of the Nigeria Police Force,” he added.

Police spokesman DSP Yakubu Sabo, who confirmed the arrest to The Nation said, the suspect was being interrogated at the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
