Residents of Ejigbo in  Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State were on Tuesday night thrown into shock by some hoodlums who took advantage of the COVID -19 lockdown to raid several streets and cart away money and other valuables.

The raid began around 11:30pm on Tuesday, as the hoodlums who where in a group of about 20, randomly raided different homes from street to street.

It took the intervention of vigilante groups in the area to chase the hoodlums away after sporadic gunfires.

Earlier that evening, a set of hoodlums believed to be members of this same gang had caused panic in the area forcing residents to run into their homes, others locking up  their shops and running to safety over fears of possible attacks.

Residents are therefore calling on the Lagos State Police Command to come to their help put a stop to this nightmare.
