Cross River State COVID-19 Task Force team have been condemned by some members of the public for mercilessly flogging curfew defaulters in the state.

A video which emerged shows members of the Task Force team who went around in their vans, approaching and mercilessly flogging people who flout the curfew imposed in the state.

The curfew in Cross River State is part of the action by the state to fight COVID-19.

Cross River has no recorded case of the deadly Coronavirus and actions are being taken to keep it that way.


On Wednesday, May 6, it was reported that five trucks loaded with almajiris were denied entry into the state.
