Kai Havertz has agreed terms with Chelsea, according to Sky Italy.

Havertz, 21, is coming off the back of a fine season in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen during which he managed 12 goals and six assists in 30 games.

That has seen Havertz linked with a string of top European clubs, but it now appears that Chelsea have won the race to sign him, with Sky claiming wages have been agreed between the two parties.

Lampard was coy about Havertz when asked in his press conference this week.

“I’m not talking about Kai Havertz,” he laughed. “I’ve said before, he’s a player of another team. Looking at the game tomorrow, which is so huge for this club, the last thing I want to do is talk about players for other teams.”
