“She was murdered and made to appear as if she had slumped.”
Emeka Rollas, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, has alleged that late Nollywood actress Chinedu Bernard was murdered.
This was remarked by the AGN President, who was inquiring about the circumstances surrounding the death.
The actress from ‘Last Manhood’ collapsed and died while cleaning the Chapel of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Enugu State’s Federal Housing area.
In response to her death, the AGN president stated that an autopsy will be required to determine the reason of her death.
Rollas questioned how someone slumped inside a church might get bruises on their face on his Instagram page.
He also demanded that friends of the actress be questioned, claiming that she was murdered and made to appear as if she had slumped.
“ Many questions yet to be answered concerning the death of Actress Chinedu Bernard. 1. How can someone who slumped inside a church sustain bruises on the face? 2. Who are Chinedu’s parishioner friends? 3. Who are Chinedu’s friends in Enugu where she is practising her craft? So it is either someone killed her or she took a suicidal substance and decided to die in the church.
“Autopsy must be conducted to ascertain the main cause of her death. “
The AGN President also urged performers who have yet to join the guild to do so, stating that failing to do so is “gross irresponsibility.”
“Let me use this medium to address Actors. No man is an island it is gross irresponsibility for any actor to be in an industry such as ours without being up to date with the Actors Guild of Nigeria.”
