“Truly I told my congregation to pay N310,000.” “When I realized that my members’ troubles were getting worse, I made the proclamation.”
Pastor Noah Abraham of Ekiti State’s Christ High Commission Ministry has stated why he just charged his congregants N310k to make heaven.
The preacher was recently summoned by the police for allegedly taking money from members of his congregation in exchange for a promise to send them to heaven after the rapture.
Abraham is believed to have defrauded about 40 people in his church at Araromi-Ugbesi in Omuo-Oke, Ekiti State, in what he termed as rapture preparation.
Some members of his congregation are claimed to have sold their belongings in the hopes of seeing Jesus while camping at his church, while others are alleged to have abandoned their families who refused to leave with them.
He told BBC Yoruba, “Truly I told my congregation to pay N310,000.” “When I realized that my members’ troubles were getting worse, I made the proclamation.
“I did it because God gave me the authority to practice for everyone who wish to serve the Lord with all their hearts. I have yet to receive payment from any member of the church, and the Ekiti State Police has been called in to investigate the situation.
“I was summoned by the police for an investigation, and all of the church members were present, and they all took notes on what had occurred.”
