Tottenham confirms four undesired players for sale following preseason tour exclusion

After numerous senior stars were excluded from the team’s preseason tour, Antonio Conte has revealed which Tottenham players are no longer needed.

Sergio Reguilon, a left back, and the midfielders Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, and Giovani Lo Celso were not part of the team that departed for South Korea.

In addition to Sevilla and an all-star K-League XI, Tottenham will play friendlies against Rangers and Roma while on tour.

As Conte looks to genuinely fight for titles in his first full season in command of the North London club, the Lilywhites have already done a lot of business this summer.

Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Clement Lenglet, and Middlesborough right-back Djed Spence have all been signed, and a deal for Spence is allegedly close to completion.

With the exception of Lenglet, who recently arrived from Barcelona and lacks the necessary travel documents, all of the new signings were on the flight to South Korea. Another center-back, Joe Rodon, was also unable to travel because of illness.

But with so many new arrivals, there must also be some departures, and Conte is eager to offload the four players indicated above as quickly as possible after letting go of a number of other players this summer.

Wingers Jack Clarke and Steven Bergwijn recently moved to Ajax and Sunderland, respectively, while center-back Cameron Carter-Vickers joined Celtic on a permanent basis after spending the previous season there on loan, ending his 13-year relationship with the team.

Although the undesirable quartet has no shortage of prospective buyers, Conte and Daniel Levy will have difficulty selling them for anywhere close to the £124 million in transfer fees they have combined cost Tottenham.

Reguilon is looking to transfer back to Spain, while Winks has long been linked to Everton.

Both Lo Celso and Ndombele spent the second half of the previous season on loan, and while the former is hopeful of returning to Villarreal, Ndombele, who was also acquired for a club-record fee by Tottenham, is unlikely to be re-signed by Lyon. PSG, however, is interested in him.
