Didier Drogba has expressed his delight at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s decision to join Chelsea from Barcelona on the day of the transfer deadline yesterday.
When Aubameyang signed a two-year contract at Stamford Bridge, he finally gave Blues supporters the news they had been waiting for.
After spending a brief time with Barcelona, the 33-year-old striker is again back in the Premier League.
The former Arsenal player will likely score the same number of goals for Chelsea as he has throughout his impressive career.
The fact he now reunites with his old manager Thomas Tuchel at a new club is a very exciting one, especially as he performed brilliantly under him at Borussia Dortmund.
Blues legend Drogba sent Chelsea’s new signing a message on social media following the transfer move:
“Finally! Remember the time we spoke about it years ago. Happy for you brother,” he wrote on Twitter.
