Atiku, Buhari not good material for presidency — Soyinka

The Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, says neither the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, President Muhammadu Buhari, nor that of the People’s Democratic, Atiku Abubakar, will get his vote.

Soyinka said this in Lagos yesterday at a programme tagged: “The Civic Choice in a time of Judicial ‘Penkelemes”, organized by the Citizen’s Forum.

He said: “I, Wole Soyinka, will not be voting for either of the two so called contesting parties, I find both of them worthy of absolute rejection for a number of reasons which I will not go into here. I am not interested in comparative assessment; it is just too late for that. My position is that it is time for a totally new direction and obviously, I am not the only one, there are so many opposition parties wanting to take over the reins of governance.”
