Brace yourselves for a much deadlier pandemic than COVID-19, WHO scientists warn

Researchers at the World Health Organisation (WHO) have said COVID-19 will likely become endemic.

This means that COVID-19 is ever present in the population to some degree.

Dr Mike Ryan, head of the WHO Emergencies programme, issued a stark warning when he described the pandemic as “very severe” while anticipating worse scenarios in the future.

This is coming after a new variant of the virus was found in Nigeria. Although the new variant has not been properly studied.
