“I bought a new iPhone but found carved wood instead” – Ghanian man shares disappointing experience


A Ghanian man has expressed serious shock and total dismay after the iPhone he bought turned out to be packaged carved wood.

The man who took to social media to lament said the device was purchased from a seller on the streets of Accra, the capital the Ghana.

The victim’s brother, Thomas Tag Amenyo, shared the details on Facebook where he also uploaded pictures of the ‘wooden phone’.

Thomas sounded so disappointed by what was done to his brother by the fraudsters.

He wrote: “Some phone dealers won’t make it to heaven, see what they did to my brother in Accra, Hmm. Any victim in the house? Share your experience.”

In Nigeria, such fraudulent practice is common especially when buying mobile phones from the streets instead of buying from shops with physical addresses.
