Katsina council chair arrested for ‘colluding with bandits’

Police spokesman Gambo Isa has confirmed the arrest of ex-chair of Jibia council area in Kebbi State Alhaji Haruna Musa Mota for allegedly colluding with bandits.

Gambo also said that the suspect has been charged to court for aiding and abetting banditry and other crimes in the state

He alleged that Mota was incriminated in a leaked video in conversation with bandits.

The Nation recalled that an audio recording went viral recently implicating the local government chairman in a discussion with a bandits’ leader over the recent abduction of Kankara Students.
