Philippe Coutinho sends message to crying Neymar after Champions League final

Following the Bayern Munich 1-0 win of PSG in Lisbon, Philippe Coutinho has a classy message for crestfallen Neymar after the Sunday night’s Champions League final whistle.

Neymar had to be persuaded to collect his runners-up medal after a disappointing night in Lisbon for the forward. Thanks to a Kingsley Coman header which handed Bayern the trophy.

The PSG star was heavily marked whenever he had the ball and failed to make a difference in the final.

He showed flashes of brilliance, and created chances when running at the Bayern defence, but was ultimately unable to create a goal for the Parisiens.

Neymar ended up being booked late in the game after lashing out with a late tackle on Thomas Muller, a sign of the forward’s frustration at getting closed out of the game.

Afterwards, he was seen in tears on the bench, and had to be persuaded into going to collect his runners-up medal.
